Applications are invited for the post of the Centre of Digital Creativity Administrator. The Centre for Digital Creativity is an exciting new initiative to link cutting-edge research and teaching within the College with high profile creative industries partners.

The Centre for Digital Creativity will provide an R&D base for screen industries to meet the challenge of next-generation storytelling, producing compelling content for emerging creative technologies. The post holder will have a key responsibility to work closely with creative industry partners and the National Film & Television School’s development of a new Centre for Immersive Storytelling.

   

The Centre for Digital Creativity Administrator will work as part of a team to develop and implement systems and processes to ensure the service delivery of work programmes. The post holder must have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders, including those from Higher Education and Creative Industries. As such, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in an office environment in either universities or creative industries.

You must have excellent organisational skills and the ideal candidate will be skilled in digital administration tools – such as Slack, Basecamp, Doodle etc. You should be prepared to innovate and take a proactive approach to administrative duties. Experience of basic web publication, social media production or design tools are an advantage.

The role sits within the new Centre for Digital Creativity (CDC), which brings together Media, Computer Science, Drama, Psychology, Management, Geography and Electronic Engineering to deliver StoryFutures. Royal Holloway is ranked in the top 10 or 20 departments in the UK for all these disciplines, providing a dynamic environment that connects creative industries with world leading researchers.

This is a full time 3-year post, available from 01 September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. It is a post with strong potential for contract extension. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. The successful applicant will spend significant time liaising with industry partners across the local region, including central London. An attractive relocation package is available.
