The Studio Manager will be based in the new £20m Creative Edge facility, which is home to the departments of Computing and Media. This important role will provide you with an excellent opportunity to contribute to the exciting new developments taking place in Creative Edge.

As a senior member of the Media and ICT Development Division, you will be responsible for managing the technical and operational aspects of the two HD TV studios located in the Creative Media building, one of which is built to a full broadcast quality specification. You will provide first line, operational and technical support within the studio environment and oversee the Media Asset Management System, supporting staff and students by providing training and support. This role will also require liaison with academic staff and external clients to ensure studio requirements can be met.

You will be a creative thinker and have excellent problem solving skills, being able to translate ideas into outcomes and come up with creative solutions to problems. You will be flexible and be able to remain calm under pressure, working effectively across a range of situations, with individuals or groups. You will have in-depth knowledge in broadcast engineering, within a broadcast studio environment. Operational knowledge of the vision, audio and lighting equipment used within a studio environment is essential.
