Job Type

We need you to tell the stories that reflect today’s Britain.

Channel Four’s aim has always been to challenge the way people think, take the biggest risks and create peak-time output that’s as distinctive and popular as it is provocative and edgy. From One Born Every Minute and Fried Chicken Shop to 999: What’s Your Emergency and True Stories, we commission groundbreaking television with fresh perspectives on contemporary life.

Now we’re looking for a commissioner to help us build a new generation of programmes which will explore fresh themes with wit, warmth and intelligence, and which will reach out to ever wider and more diverse audiences.

And that’s why we need you. Commissioning and developing peak-time series, you’ll deliver the next generation of documentary programmes that surprise, entertain and reflect the variety and richness of contemporary Britain.

Senior experience of commissioning or production is a must, plus a proven passion for finding new faces, new voices and new stories.
