Chief Executive

The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) is the UK charity for cinema, television and film.  It helps people working throughout the moving image industries during times of need, for those looking for further help to enter the moving image industry or enhance their skills, through to support in older age after retirement.

Through donations, supporter subscriptions, and events including The Royal Film Performance, the CTBF has historically been able to help more than 1,000 beneficiaries and their families every year. However we have ambitions to raise our profile and significantly extend our reach. The industry has changed dramatically over recent years and we need to reflect that change.

We are seeking an inspirational and commercially focused leader to reimagine CTBF and set it on an exciting new course. The Board is looking for someone who can craft and deliver a new vision for CTBF and, with the help of the Board and patrons and supporters, dramatically raise our profile and increase its impact across the contemporary moving image industry.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have senior leadership experience in a commercial, not for profit or public service setting;
  • Have experience of working in or with the moving image industry and an understanding of current developments;
  • Lead with an inclusive and collegiate management style with the ability to inspire and empower the staff team;
  • Be creative, entrepreneurial and emotionally intelligent. Willing to work in  ambiguity and take considered risk

The closing date for applications is the 19th June.
