Business Affairs Manager

The BFI is an internationally recognised cultural body, and the lead
organisation for film in the UK. We are a Government arm’s length body
and distributor of Lottery funds for film.

Working in our busy Business Affairs department and reporting directly
to the Director of Business Affairs, you will be principally responsible for
negotiating, drafting and reviewing legal documentation, and providing
legal and business affairs advice and support to the BFI’s Film Fund.
This Fund supports creativity, innovation, new talent and ‘cutting edge’
feature film making.

You will be a qualified film and media lawyer, with demonstrable
expertise in film financing, production and distribution deals. You will
have the ability to meet deadlines in a commercial and dynamic
environment and to handle a spread of projects across the range of the
Film Fund’s activities.

You will have excellent drafting skills and relevant PQE in commercial
and entertainment law. A sound knowledge of copyright and contract
law is essential. Strong and demonstrable negotiation skills and sound
business acumen are essential.

Based in Central London, you will enjoy benefits such as our pension
scheme, 28-33 days annual leave, tickets to BFI festivals and events plus
many others.
