To co-ordinate and provide project development support to companies participating in an innovative pilot project that will create a specialist business support service for screen companies working in Scotland.
Fixed term (24-months)
Film City Futures is seeking a Development Executive to co-ordinate and provide project development support to companies participating in an innovative pilot project that will create a specialist business support service for screen companies working in Scotland.
The project has been developed to address current market conditions in the screen industry in Scotland. On an evidenced basis, it has been established that most screen production businesses operating in Scotland are not of the scale where certain support functions can be afforded in-house, which has had a tangible and evident impact on the ability for those businesses to grow, increase output, and remain sustainable.
In addition, there are areas of film, television, documentary, animation, and factual business support that require a more specific and tailored approach, currently unavailable in Scotland.
The project has been developed by partners Creative Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Independent Producers Scotland, and will be delivered in partnership with Project Delivery Leads Film City Futures and the Scottish Documentary Institute.
The project presents an opportunity for the partners to work collaboratively for the first time on targeted business growth and support in Scotland, together with co-investment from the industry itself.
The salary will be in the region of £32,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus pension contribution.
