Music Consultant 

 

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining extensive portfolio of clients in TV Programming and Advertising and maximising the use of the catalogue in these areas.

 

Working closely with the Business Development and Marketing Manager, this role will support with marketing and brand promotion initiatives and gain exposure to the broader team by providing administrative support to the Production team. 

 

Areas of Responsibility:

 

Maximise usage of the catalogue by TV Programming and Advertising Executives

 

  • Develop new clients
  • Pitch our music for advertising campaigns, and TV programming.
  • Liaise with production staff to raise their awareness of our catalogue
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of Warner Chappell Production Music’s library of music
  • Attend meetings and conferences, where required
  • Assist with the development of effective marketing campaigns
  • Developing and maintaining relationships

     

  • Contact and develop sales relationships via frequent phone calls and visits to client locations
  • Call inactive clients and filtering leads
  • Maintain good working relationships with all internal departments
  • Maintain accurate client contact information

     

  • Maintain database of contact details and mail out list for all clients, update and amend as necessary and ensure accuracy of the information kept
  • Provide administrative support

     

  • Provide administrative support to the Production Team
  • Assist with online mailouts of new releases and other marketing content
  • Ensure timely handling of incoming website registrations
  • Assist in maintaining ongoing relationships with third party catalogue representation.​
  • Develop Warner Chappell Production Music’s target market in the UK

     

  • Assist the UK Sales and Marketing Manager in maximising revenue in the UK Production Music market
  • Pitch our music for advertising campaigns, trailers and TV programming.

  • Conduct music searches
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of Warner Chappell Production Music’s library of music
  • Attend meetings and conferences, where required
  • Assist with the development of effective marketing campaigns
  • Key Performance Measurements:

     

  • Develop own network of successful clients for Warner Chappell Production Music
  • Ensure wide distribution and awareness of our repertoire amongst TV programme makers and advertising agencies
  • Experience and Qualifications: 

     

  • 2 years + experience a sales role, preferably within the music, TV or film industry
  • Previous experience in Account Management will be desirable  
  • A Bachelor's degree or other significant business experience (or working towards)
  • Previous experience in the music, TV or film industry would be highly advantageous 
  • Skills/Abilities Required:

     

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong detail orientation and an ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Previous sales experience and being able to demonstrate successful performance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability at effectively making formal and informal presentations to all levels of management
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business
  • Exceptional rapport building and account management skills
