Head of Development and Production
The New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) invests in original and culturally significant films, encourages talented New Zealand filmmakers through developing career pathways and facilitating connections offshore, and works to increase the number of people seeing New Zealand films.
The day-to-day operations of the NZFC are carried out by a small staff under the leadership of the CEO and senior management team. Currently we are investing in around twenty feature films per annum.
We are seeking a Head of Development and Production to lead a team of five in the creative development and production of feature films with NZFC investment and represent the NZFC to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Along with the CEO and members of the NZFC senior manager’s team, this is a key role in setting the tone of the NZFC’s working relationship with the industry. This a contract role for a period of two or three years, based in Wellington, New Zealand. Assistance with relocation is available.
