Some things are impossible to ignore. Some things demand action. Whether it’s the voice of a wrongfully imprisoned individual or images of war crimes in the Sudan, photographic content can send a powerful message. And in this leadership role, your talent will help Amnesty International amplify that message for a global audience.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The AV Photo Information Officer is part of the AV Studio team, based in the Global Content Program. This small, busy team provides audiovisual services to Amnesty International Sections worldwide and to staff of the International Secretariat. As AV Photo Information Officer you will be responsible for managing Amnesty International's photographic collection - researching and commissioning original images, negotiating deals with image agencies and managing copyright on still images. You will work as the centre of expertise for all areas related to the International Secretariat's photographic collection.

ABOUT YOU
You will have extensive industry experience of: photo research and license negotiation for still image use across all audiovisual distribution platforms, photo copyright legislation and clearance, working with database technology and image collections, digital image processing, and a professional qualification in Adobe Photoshop. An excellent communicator, you will have experience commissioning freelance photographers globally and dealing with ethical and legal issues in the context of photo work.

ABOUT US
Our aim is simple: to bring the world closer to a place where human rights are enjoyed by all. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, freedom and truth wherever they’re denied. Already our network of over three million members and supporters is making a difference in 150 countries. And whether we’re applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations, human rights education, or online campaigning, we’re all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.
