Photo Information Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE
The AV Photo Information Officer is part of the AV Studio team, based in the Global Content Program. This small, busy team provides audiovisual services to Amnesty International Sections worldwide and to staff of the International Secretariat. As AV Photo Information Officer you will be responsible for managing Amnesty International's photographic collection - researching and commissioning original images, negotiating deals with image agencies and managing copyright on still images. You will work as the centre of expertise for all areas related to the International Secretariat's photographic collection.
You will have extensive industry experience of: photo research and license negotiation for still image use across all audiovisual distribution platforms, photo copyright legislation and clearance, working with database technology and image collections, digital image processing, and a professional qualification in Adobe Photoshop. An excellent communicator, you will have experience commissioning freelance photographers globally and dealing with ethical and legal issues in the context of photo work.
