Further information

With alumni in the film and television industries worldwide, The London Film School combines its status as a major international conservatoire with its role as one of the two leading British graduate film schools supported by Creative Skillset and the BFI.

The Board of LFS seeks to appoint a new Director in succession to Ben Gibson, following his fourteen years of outstanding service.

This is an exciting time for the school, which will celebrate its 60th birthday in 2016. We are planning a move from our old premises in Covent Garden to specially-designed new facilities within the Barbican Centre in the City of London.

The rewarding challenge for the new Director will be to lead the school into this historic new phase.

The person we seek will have the personality to promote the school at the highest level, both in the UK and internationally, will be able and prepared to play a proactive role in major fundraising, and must have proven ability with finance and budgets.

He or she will have creative flair and effective leadership qualities, wide experience of film and/or film education, and must be committed to emerging filmmakers and to new ideas and technology.

Application deadline – 26 February
Interviews week of 10 March
