After two successful editions, iFeatures is now firmly established as the UK’s most prestigious low budget development, production and training initiative for first and second-time feature filmmakers.
We are now looking for an ambitious Executive Producer to lead the delivery of iFeatures3 as well as to help shape the longer-term development of the brand through enhanced activity and fresh partnerships.
With funding and support already in place from Creative England, BBC Films, BFI Film Fund and Creative Skillset, iFeatures3 is planned to launch in early 2014. Once again, we’ll be looking to develop 16 projects/filmmaking teams with the aim of greenlighting a further three films into production in early 2015, each with a budget of £350,000.
Whilst retaining our focus on stories with a compelling sense of place, we’re particularly looking to work with more female writers and directors on this next slate as well as to encourage a more entrepreneurial approach to distribution and exhibition.
Reporting to Creative England’s Head of Film on behalf of the partners, the Executive Producer will oversee all aspects of iFeatures3, exercising appropriate creative, financial and operational management.
You will play a key role in identifying filmmakers and projects suitable for funding and support through the initiative. You will lead each phase of activity - from submissions through assessment, selection, development, training to production – displaying sound creative and commercial judgment to ensure that supported talent and projects achieve their full potential.
You will act as the public face of iFeatures, championing its aims and aspirations, and ensuring the broadest possible engagement with industry and other stakeholders.
