Getting the bigger picture of Europe’s audiovisual industry.
In this important position, you will oversee all aspects of strategy and operations for the European Audiovisual Observatory, which gathers and circulates information for the audiovisual industry on a pan-European basis. The European Audiovisual Observatory is part of the Council of Europe, based in Strasbourg, France. It brings together 39 Member States and the European Commission.
As Executive Director you will be responsible for preparing and implementing annual and three-year action plans, managing the accompanying financial and budgetary structures, co-ordinating a network of partners and correspondents and reinforcing relationships with Member States and the European Union. At the same time, you will ensure the optimal deployment of human and technological resources, remain abreast of the latest thinking within the industry and lead the Observatory’s secretariat, giving you a very high profile.
Highly experienced in management, you will bring expert knowledge of information handling in the audiovisual sector plus extensive industry and public service contacts. You should have solid experience of working with research institutions and governmental bodies, and be capable of thinking conceptually and qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline.
